The good, the bad and the ugly

YogurtThanks to a previous conversation with Marion Jones I was able to taste the more colourful side of Champaign in the form of frozen yogurt. This was a light relief from breakfast and served as a fitting lunch from after the excesses of a cooked breakfast.

aisleLate afternoon decided to take a trip to Walmart – mainly just to experience the sheer size of such places. despite the fact we have super superstores they are as nothing when compared to the likes of Walmart. What struck me was the volume of low grade products and an absence of staff – even at the tills (well there are no real tills).

One of the things I had been pondering was the proliferation of guns in supermarkets (something I was shocked about years ago when I last visited a Walmart).

GunsWhilst no actual handguns on the shelf there were BB Guns, as you can see, which one could pick up at good prices. This was in the ‘look after your gun’ aisle – yes a whole isle devoted to the worship of the firearm… Clearly products for death is good business!
